Shelburne Films’ License Policy

Institutions such as Schools, Colleges, Corporations and Government Agencies must purchase at the Institutional price to receive public performance rights.  Purchase of videotape or videodisk effectively means lease for the life of the videotape or videodisk and includes in-house public performance rights for non-paying audiences only.  A license for closed-circuit use within a SINGLE building or campus is included.

Purchase does NOT include nor imply the right to copy or duplicate, edit, recast, abridge or transform the video or audio in any way or means whatsoever without the written consent of Shelburne Films.

Purchase does NOT include the right to transmit video or audio by analog or digital means by broadcast, open-cable, satellite, internet or any other means nor to any off-campus or distance learning site without the express written consent of Shelburne Films.

Loaning for a fee, leasing or sub-licensing to others, or for any commercial purpose (such as charging admission and public advertising) is strictly prohibited without a commercial agreement with Shelburne Films.
